Our Mission
The Liverpool City Region Digital Commons is a collaborative initiative between the University of Liverpool and the Civic Data Cooperative (CDC). Our mission is to democratise access to data and create a comprehensive, accessible repository of information that serves the needs of researchers, policymakers, businesses, and citisens across the Liverpool City Region.
We believe that open data is a powerful tool for driving innovation, improving public services, and fostering transparency. By bringing together datasets from various organisations and sectors, we enable evidence-based decision making and support the development of solutions to address regional challenges and opportunities.
What We Do
Data Curation
We collect, organise, and maintain high-quality datasets from across the Liverpool City Region, ensuring they are accessible, well-documented, and regularly updated.

Civic Data Cooperative
The Civic Data Cooperative (CDC) is a community-driven organisation focused on democratising data access and promoting data literacy. CDC brings expertise in community engagement, data governance, and collaborative approaches to data sharing that prioritise public benefit.
